Sticky Squares
Sticky Squares are a great afternoon treat.| 1 cup | brown sugar | 250 ml |
| 1 cup | honey | 250 ml |
| 1/2 cup | butter or margarine | 110 g |
| 1 tsp | vanilla | 5 ml |
| 8 cups | puffed wheat or puffed rice | 2 L |
Melt butter in a saucepan. Add honey and sugar and boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes. Add vanilla to syrup mixture.  Measure puffed wheat into a large bowl. Pour syrup mixture over puffed wheat. Mix until all the puffed wheat is coated with the syrup mixture. Press into a greased 9" x 9" pan. Let sit until cool. Cut into squares.
