Diseases Hit Beekeepers in the Fraser Valley Hard

The cold spring weather and the increasing prevalence of diseases that attack honey bees is causing severe bee losses again all over North America. This year we are starting to see high losses in Canada, comparable to those seen with CCD in the United States last year. Many beekeepers in Canada are just starting to look at their overwintered hives, but already we are hearing reports of very high losses. Reports of losses from the Lower Mainland have been variable, with some as high as 90% or more.
Science shows that people sleep better when they eat honey before bedtime.
